The Thousand Year Siege or One-Thousand-Year Siege was a legendary conflict that erupted between Siöl and Nihrimsul, two of the High Mansions of the Nonmen, in the millennia preceding Arkfall.

Siöl had long claimed pre-eminence among the High Mansions, proclaiming itself the "House Primordial", the wellspring from which Nonmen civilisation spread across Eärwa under the rule of the House of Tsonos. However, this claim was disputed by Nihrimsul, which claimed to be the true "House Primordial" and that Tsonos has been banished from Nihrimsul for the murder of his father Imimorûl, the progenitor of the Nonman species (according to the Isûphiryas). Although denying such a claim, Siöl did agree that Nihrimsul stood apart from the other Mansions (which shared the blood of Tsonos) and used this as a justification for repeated conflict and war.

Nihrimsul endured the Thousand Year Siege intact, the conflict apparently ending with Siöl abandoning the siege. The true length of the siege and when precisely it happened - given the lack of a dating methodology relatable to men in the Isûphiryas - remain wholly conjectural.[1]
